So the string balls were a complete failure. The biggest failure that I have ever encountered in my lifetime, in fact. I had such high hopes too. The twine dyed beautifully. Then the air leaked out of the balloons before the glue even dried, not once, but twice. So right now the hurricane glass that I purchased specifically for the string balls is empty on our kitchen table. I managed to salvage the used twine, so now I must purchase different balloons and try again. Try try again as the saying goes.
I also have a lot of super positive news, since my last update. I completed the packaging and found a way to create it myself to make each item even more personalized! I have also printed out a bunch of business cards, so handouts will be made!
And most importantly sometime in September, The PaperWave will be having its very own table at the AIGA Student Chapter’s Quarterly Craft Sale!! I’ll have to post the date, when it’s finalized. I hope to see you all there! I’m also now working on a catalog to distribute there as well as to some boutiques in the area. All of this in hopes that I could start doing some wholesale and/or consignment in the city.
Finally I have had not only my first but also my second sale on etsy! Well the second sale was my sister-in-law, but hey that counts right? So that brings the total sale count to three!
So now to celebrate M and I are spending some time with his family in Margate. Tomorrow night, we’re going to be celebrating his dad’s birthday at Caesar’s in Atlantic City. This should be a good time. It’s going to be back to the grind for me though. I want to do some more prints, cards, and finish the catalog. This is the life. :]
